Job Description:
Europcar, a prominent car rental company, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Administrator: Claims to join their Compliance team, based at the Head Office in Bruma, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in administrative tasks, particularly within a claims environment, and must excel under pressure. With at least two years of experience, this role will suit individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have exceptional attention to detail.


Position Overview:
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate processing and investigation of claims, timely invoicing, and adherence to high customer service and performance standards. The role also involves weekly and monthly claims reporting to ensure transparency and accountability in the claims process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Management: Process and invoice damage and theft claims in line with rental terms and conditions.
  • Claims Maintenance: Ensure completeness of claims documentation before invoicing.
  • Invoicing: Efficiently manage and reduce un-invoiced claims by invoicing within the specified timelines.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze claims data and report on trends to management. Extract and manage claims reports from the operational system, providing timely feedback where necessary.
  • Communication: Liaise with branches to address outstanding documentation, disputes, and queries.
  • Third-Party Claims: Understand and process claims involving third parties, as well as breach-related claims. Provide accurate invoicing and reporting on these claims to the Breach Committee.
  • Vehicle Management: Handle claims involving vehicle write-offs, stolen, or hijacked vehicles, ensuring the correct processing and reporting.
  • Document Control: Ensure adherence to document scanning, storage, and retrieval within the specified timeframes.
  • Support: Assist the Claims Manager with any additional duties as required.
  • Invoicing for Various Stakeholders: Invoice claims for rentals, staff, third-party agencies, and external labor companies (ferriers).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Experience:
    • 2 years of experience in car rental and/or claims administration
  • Minimum Qualification:
    • NQF level 4 (Matric or equivalent)
  • Preferred Qualification:
    • NQF level 5

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and OnBase, with at least intermediate computer literacy.
  • Valid, unendorsed driver’s license.
