Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in the offices, such as sweeping and vacuuming, with vacuuming to be done every second day.  
  • Daily disinfecting, mopping, and dusting to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.  
  • Use cleaning materials and equipment as per the supplier's recommendations.  
  • Clean the kitchen areas daily, ensuring cleanliness in food preparation areas.  
  • Empty office dustbins and remove waste on a daily basis to maintain a tidy environment.  
  • Clean windows at a reachable level as required.  
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, such as using "Wet Floor" signs when mopping to prevent accidents.  

2. Materials Management:

  • Report any property damage immediately upon noticing it to the appropriate authorities.  
  • Liaise with the office manager to ensure the timely ordering of provisions like coffee, tea, sugar, milk, and cleaning materials before they run out.  
  •  Ensure that there are sufficient paper towels available at all times.  
  • Maintain stock of cleaning materials and groceries, ensuring they are stored safely.  
  • Monitor the availability of groceries and order before stock depletes.  

3. Health & Safety:

  • Comply with health and safety regulations by using the required protective clothing and equipment.  
  • Assist with any ad-hoc duties as and when required, such as changing light bulbs in the office.  
  • Serve as the contact person for tea and beverage requests during meetings in the boardroom.  
  • Run errands as needed, supporting office functions by delivering or collecting items.  
  • Arrange and set up tea trolleys for meetings, serve refreshments, and clear up afterward.  
  • Assist in the movement of office furniture and other movable assets as needed.  
  • Provide support between both Parktown office locations.  
  • Perform any additional tasks as agreed upon with the line manager.  


Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is required.  
  • -At least 1 year of experience in domestic or office cleaning.  

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in the local language.  
  • Ability to maintain a professional image in all interactions.  
  • Good verbal communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and supervisors.  
  • Capability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.  
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to work well within a group 
  • Uphold business values and recognize the importance of supporting these values in daily tasks.  
  • Ability to maintain focus and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.  
  • Maintain a positive attitude and exhibit professionalism in all duties.
