Job Description:
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is looking for a Cleaner to join the team in Rustenburg. The position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with the necessary skills and experience. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of designated work areas according to the required specifications. This role reports directly to the Sales Manager in Rustenburg.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Waste Management: Empty and clean waste bins, transport waste to collection points.
- Floor Care: Sweep floors, mop with wet or damp mops, suction clean carpeted areas, and spot clean carpets.
- Surface Cleaning: Dust, damp wipe, and polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, cupboards, shelves, and fitments.
- Ablution Cleaning: Clean toilets, urinals, basins, sinks, baths, showers, and drinking fountains; replenish consumables like soap and paper towels.
- Machinery Use: Operate scrubbing and polishing machines (after proper training) to clean floors and use pick-up machines for additional cleaning tasks.
- High-Level Cleaning: Work at heights for tasks such as cleaning walls or inside windows within safety limits.
- Outdoor Work: Assist with gardening tasks including weeding, applying pesticides, cutting lawns, and pruning trees and shrubs.
- Chemical Use: Safely use chemical cleaning agents as directed by the supervisor, following proper training.
- General Duties: Perform other cleaning duties as required, report factors affecting work to supervisors, and maintain a welcoming environment for colleagues and visitors.
Skills, Experience & Education:
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 / Matric
- Experience:
- Experience in a FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment is ideal.
- Must be literate and numerate.
