Reporting to:
Customs and Operations Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Verify tariffs and product classifications.
  • Ensure supplier import/export documentation complies with SARS customs regulations.
  • Administer certificates and permits when required.
  • Reconcile customs clearance instructions with final clearance and resolve variances.
  • Investigate discrepancies and determine if a Voucher of Correction (VOC) is needed.
  • Record and report VOCs, refunds, rebates, and credits.
  • Support inbound coordinators in compiling documents for customs and border police interventions.
  • Assist finance in resolving customs queries, audits, and enquiries.
  • Coordinate ad-hoc customs projects and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • National Senior Certificate.
  • Formal Import/Export training.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and finance processes.
  • 3+ years of experience in Import/Export and Finance.
  • Experience in supply chain or logistics within the retail/FMCG industry is beneficial.
