Key Responsibilities

Training and Development:

  • Complete both institutionalized training (classroom-based) and on-the-job training, as outlined in the learnership qualification framework and the company’s specific needs.
  • Follow the training program schedule to meet all learning objectives, ensuring competence is achieved within the prescribed timeline.
  • Participate in process improvement activities, working closely with the production team to identify more efficient ways to execute tasks.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Actively contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to company safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, rules, and regulations during all tasks.
  • Participate in safety drills and contribute to maintaining the company’s high Health and Safety standards.

Operations and Production Support:

  • Learn to use specific tools and equipment involved in specialized manufacturing processes.
  • Understand and execute tasks related to the assembly line, ensuring product quality and efficiency are maintained.
  • Assist in maintaining process documentation and record-keeping for internal audits and compliance purposes.

Problem-Solving and Process Efficiency:

  • Support production by participating in problem-solving sessions and applying analytical skills to improve operational processes.
  • Use innovative thinking to suggest potential process improvements and help optimize production flows.
  • Engage in cross-functional activities, working with peers and supervisors to identify bottlenecks and find effective solutions.

Performance Measures / Success Criteria

The success of your learnership will be measured based on the following criteria:

  • Completion of the approved training program as outlined by FMCSA and MerSeta, adhering to the stipulated timeline.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this learnership, you must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) with:
    • Pure Mathematics (Higher Grade or Standard Grade). Note: Mathematical Literacy, Additional Mathematics, Functional Mathematics, Commercial Mathematics, and Applied Mathematics are not accepted.
    • English (Higher Grade or Standard Grade).

Additional Requirements:

  • Only unemployed individuals are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be under the age of 35.
  • Ability to work in shifts and adapt to different working hours as needed during the training period.

No Prior Work Experience Needed:
