 About the Role

Europcar is looking for a dynamic, customer-focused, and deadline-driven individual to join their Polokwane branch as a Supervisor: Operations. This role involves overseeing all operations within the branch, ensuring seamless functioning of the team to deliver excellent customer service. The Supervisor must manage critical areas like vehicle safety, quality control, risk management, and claims handling. The job is both challenging and rewarding, requiring someone who can handle a fast-paced environment and solve problems with a positive attitude.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Supervision  

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all activities in the branch.
  • Manage telephonic customer queries, reservations, and ensuring all calls are handled professionally.
  • Oversee the shift handover process and ensure that daily operational reports are completed.
  • Handle cash management and ensure secure banking procedures.
  • Deploy manpower effectively across the office and car park to meet operational needs.
  • Safeguard company assets and ensure all resources are used correctly.
  • the fleet to ensure the right mix of vehicles is available to meet customer demands.

  • Ensure the branch, parking lot, and surrounding areas maintain high standards of cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Monitor and maintain all branch documentation.
  • Supervise and support the team through training, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Lead by example, motivating the team to provide top-tier customer service.
  • Authorize and monitor team members’ leave, overtime, and other time-related activities.
  • Hold regular team meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and provide necessary information.
  • Ensure the branch complies with all legal, health, and safety standards, submitting monthly reports on time.

  • Complete general administrative tasks and ensure all office duties are up to date.
  • Ensure compliance reports and deadlines are cleared and adhered to timeously.

 Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Experience:

  •  2 years of supervisory or team lead experience, preferably in a car rental or similar fast-paced environment.

 Minimum Qualification:

  • Matric (NQF level 4) or equivalent qualification.


Preferred Qualification:

  • A Business Management degree or a relevant tertiary qualification is highly advantageous
  • A valid, unendorsed driver's license.
  • Own, reliable transportation (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in MS excel and MS Outlook.
  • Knowledge of the Basic Cond- itions of Employment Act or equivalent legislation in other regions such as Namibia, Botswana, and Swaziland.
  • The role may require availability on weekends, shifts, or overtime.
