Position Overview:
Cargo Commercial Vehicles Germiston is offering two vacancies for Apprentice: Level 3 in the Diesel Trade. This apprenticeship provides an opportunity for candidates to gain both a qualification and practical experience within the diesel mechanic field. The primary role is to assist in repairing trucks and buses according to dealer and distributor standards and specifications.

Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Perform fault diagnosis to assist and speed up vehicle servicing.
- Use diagnostic equipment during vehicle inspections.
- Follow Daimler and Cargo Motors procedures and keep records.
- Diagnose faults accurately and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with Service Advisors as needed and explain issues clearly.
- Assist with vehicle care and safety.
- Minimize service comebacks.
- Attend to breakdown calls when necessary.
- Return vehicles in clean condition post-service.
- Sign for and return unused parts to the parts department.
- Provide cost-effective and accurate solutions to faults.
- Use fault-finding techniques efficiently.
- Complete company service routine documentation.
- Participate in promotional campaigns and related activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Complete job cards and repair clocking accurately.
- Attend Daimler and Cargo Motors training courses.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) with Maths and Physical Science.
- N2 in Engineering Science, Technical Drawing, Maths, and Diesel Trade Theory.
- Level 3 Apprentice exam results from MTA or TVET College.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail.
