Job Title: Retail Cashier
Location: Toys R Us / Babies R Us


Job Purpose

To operate cash registers, process payments accurately, and resolve customer queries while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Performance Areas

  • Provide AWESOME customer service and ensure customers have a WOW experience.
  • Attend to individual shopping needs and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  • Follow customer service standards to ensure prompt and efficient service.
  • Upsell and provide add-on sales and services at the point of sale (POS).
  • Prepare for the start of the day and handle transactions following company procedures.
  • Adhere to merchandising and housekeeping standards and schedules.
  • Operate cash registers, receive payments, and ensure accurate pricing and display at POS.
  • Manage returns and report issues to management for appropriate actions.
  • Participate in stock takes and stock counts.
  • Minimize stock loss and control expenses in your area of responsibility.
  • Maximize sales in all areas.
  • Protect company assets within your responsibility.

Entry Requirements

  • Matric Certificate
  • 6 months of retail experience
  • Reliable transport to work shifts

General Responsibilities

  • Complete duties as requested by Senior Management.
  • Participate in mandatory training.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information.
  • Participate in appraisals and personal development reviews.
  • Stay up to date with company SOPs and cooperate with new technologies and methods.
