Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Provide comprehensive customer service by advising and assisting customers with products and queries.
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
Merchandising:
- Ensure bulk stock is safely and accurately displayed according to the store layout plan.
- Maintain full merchandising in the designated area following planograms.
Housekeeping:
- Keep your area of responsibility free from obstacles, ensuring customers can move safely without any risks.
- Label shelves correctly and maintain cleanliness, adhering to the required schedules for canteen and toilet/shower facilities.
Safety Compliance (OHSA):
- Follow safety protocols, including the use of safety gear, and ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
- Report any safety risks or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Stock Loss Prevention:
- Report any damaged stock to the Store Manager to minimize stock loss.

- Achieve set targets and maintain accuracy and quality in work performance.
- Follow through on commitments and complete work to established company standards.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
- Identify and resolve problems using available resources, escalating when necessary.

- Maintain consistent control over responses under pressure or tight deadlines.

- Show willingness and courtesy when interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

- Communicate courteously and effectively in daily interactions, aligning with company values.
- Share relevant information with appropriate stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 and 1 year of related experience, or
- Grade 12 without related work experience.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
- Ability to perform basic calculations.
- Computer literacy is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid South African ID or work permit.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work under pressure.
