Position Overview:
As a General Worker at the Wellington Condiments Plant, your role is essential to ensuring smooth production operations and meeting PepsiCo’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Physical Work:
- Must be able to lift packs up to 13kg and move sugar bags of up to 25kg.
- Push bottle trolleys and ensure availability of pallets and slip sheets.
- Seal boxes and pack pallets following the packing configuration.
Housekeeping:
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Personal Growth & Leadership:
- Meet all performance objectives and contribute to team goals.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Systems, Procedures, and Practices:
- Organize tasks efficiently and complete them according to priorities.
- Follow PepsiCo policies, standards, and procedures consistently.
- Resolve work problems effectively and report progress regularly.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including managers, peers, and service providers.
- Communicate clearly and on time regarding work-related issues.
Health and Safety:
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including wearing issued clothes, earplugs, and gloves.
- Stay hydrated and ensure equipment cleanliness, meeting all legal safety requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Matric or NQF 4 qualification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work efficiently.
- Physical stamina and mental resilience.
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
