What We Are Looking For:

As an Instrumentation Intern, you will assist with the maintenance of instrumentation and related equipment. This includes installing, inspecting, calibrating, and servicing instruments, as well as troubleshooting issues. Your role will involve ensuring that machines and equipment are functioning efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, calibrate, service, and maintain instruments, including component-level repairs
  • Interpret engineering design drawings, check for errors, and compile Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Install and maintain field devices such as sensors, pressure gauges, and temperature monitors
  • Perform testing, module checks, and loop checks
  • Maintain safe work procedures, including conducting monthly SHE inspections
  • Overhaul and service field devices, ensuring optimal machine performance
  • Basic PLC programming (Siemens)
  • Assist with electronic and electrical departments as needed

What Qualifications You Should Have:

  • National Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation
  • Understanding of machine operations and processes
  • Knowledge of field devices (sensors, pressure, level sensing, temperature control, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Availability for standby duties and overtime when required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure
