Job Description
This Merchandiser Learnership offers hands-on training in the retail space. As a Merchandiser, you’ll help ensure that store shelves are stocked with the right products, attractively displayed, and correctly priced to boost sales. Your job will involve making the store look inviting and helping to increase product sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Count, determine, and document stock to be merchandised
- Unpack and document received stock
- Organize and display products to attract customers
- Keep accurate stock records and monitor stock levels
- Change displays based on stock or promotions
- Follow display guidelines and use creativity to grab attention
- Create seasonal or promotional displays
- Check product quality, remove damaged or old products
- Keep track of and fill shelves with new stock
- Plan product availability and quantities
- Work with marketing and sales teams to improve displays
- Design store layout and promotional signs
- Keep the store and storeroom clean and organized
- Ensure product indicator labels and price stickers are accurate
- Advise customers on product usage and handle queries or complaints
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- Must reside within 15km of Eveleigh, Gauteng
- Clear criminal record
- Must have own smartphone
- Ability to upload required documents (Matric Certificate, ID, SARS Letter, Bank Confirmation Letter) onto the JOBJACK platform when shortlisted
Skills and Experience
- Good understanding of English
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work with various teams
- Basic stock management and display skills
