Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Intern will gain practical exposure and experience in the Milling Quality Assurance processes. The internship focuses on learning key quality control and food safety procedures. Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory and online quality control activities.
- Report food safety and quality control deviations.
- Test raw materials, in-process products, and final products before approval.
- Actively participate in invocoms (team meetings).
- Support the food safety culture plan on-site.
- Conduct test baking for premix product evaluation.
- Perform LIMS capturing and issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety standards.
- Understanding of good laboratory practices (GLP) and good manufacturing practices (GMP).

- Record workplace exposure in a logbook to comply with Seta and learning institution reporting.
- Proactively report on formal institutional requirements or training sessions.
- Learn to translate theoretical knowledge into practical experience.
- Perform all assigned tasks and duties diligently.
Qualification Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Currently studying towards a National Diploma in Food Technology (final year).
- Possess a tertiary institution logbook that outlines the required exposure and experience.
Experience Requirements:
- No prior experience required.
Key Outputs:
- One-year exposure and learning experience in a pressurised factory environment.
- Collaborate with the quality team and all manufacturing teams.
