Department: Operations - Stores


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:

    • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a great shopping experience.
    • Assist shoppers in finding the goods and products they need.
    • Address customer queries and complaints effectively.
  2. Cashier Duties:

    • Process cash and card payments.
    • Handle lay-bys and customer refunds.
    • Report discrepancies or problems to the supervisor.
    • Balance the till at the end of the day.
  3. Merchandising:

    • Ensure correct pricing and display of stock.
    • Maintain product availability on the sales floor.
    • Keep up-to-date with store promotions and deals.
    • Maintain housekeeping standards.
  4. Risk Management:

    • Ensure products are tagged according to company policy.
    • Participate in stock takes.
    • Be vigilant for shoplifters and fraudulent activities, reporting any suspicious behavior to management.
  5. Ackermans Values & Policies:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent skills for providing high-quality customer service.
  • Communication: Fluent in English (additional languages are beneficial).
  • Personal Traits: Tenacious, high-energy, highly motivated, and target-driven.
  • Experience:
    • Previous retail experience is advantageous but not required.
