Job Description:
Sovereign, a prominent national supplier of quality chicken products, is looking for a diligent and committed Loading Operator for its Farm Services within the Agriculture division. The Loading Operator’s primary responsibilities are the hygienic loading and removal of chicken litter from Broiler farms and ensuring coal is available for HeatCo’s on these farms. This role reports to the Supervisor: Push Out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow and meet the daily production schedule.
- Complete and act on daily maintenance check sheets.
- Execute the Manure Push Out Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to remove manure within specified timeframes.
- Comply with biological risk procedures and report abnormalities immediately.
- Meet all safety requirements.
- Handle ad hoc projects and tasks as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
- Certification: Front-end loader certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a loader operator.
Skills and Competencies:
- High standards for work quality, especially under pressure.
- Assertive yet approachable with a hands-on approach.
- Strong perseverance in the face of challenges.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to take corrective action.
- Excellent communication skills.
