Position Overview:
The Stores Clerk is responsible for managing inventory levels, issuing and receiving stock, and ensuring that customers receive the correct quantities and quality of spare parts, equipment, raw materials, and tools. The role requires maintaining safety, housekeeping standards, and compiling reports on inventory usage.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Issue and receive inventory items as per customer requirements
- Monitor and report on waste and obsolete materials
- Provide accurate inventory information and maintain required documentation
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce and uphold safety and housekeeping standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Scheduling and Reporting:
- Monitor delivery schedules for timely inventory availability
- Compile and issue necessary documentation and reports to track inventory levels
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent with Mathematics
Certifications:
- Certificate in Stores/Inventory Management
Experience:
- 2 years’ experience in stores/inventory management
- Computer literacy with SAP and Excel experience preferred
- Clean criminal and credit record

Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in store and inventory management principles, safety protocols, and housekeeping procedures
- Computer skills, particularly in SAP and Excel
- Organizational understanding and strong technical knowledge
