Main Purpose of Job:

The Technical Administrator is responsible for supporting the technical department by ensuring that all technical work is logged, filed, equipment is maintained, and tasks are completed according to Mediclinic's policies and procedures.


Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Job Card Management:
    Ensure that job cards are completed and that work is performed according to instructions.

  • Equipment Control:
    Create shopping cards and purchase orders in the SAP system promptly.

  • Risk Identification:
    Identify and manage risks within the technical environment.

  • Stakeholder Relations:
    Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and clients within the Technical Department.

  • General Administration:
    Perform general administrative duties as required.


Required Education:

  • Essential Education:

    • Grade 12
  • Desired Education:

    • Bookkeeping, Finance, or experience with the SAP System

Required Experience:

  • Essential Minimum Experience:

    • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Desired Experience:

    • Previous maintenance or technical experience
    • Experience in a hospital environment
    • Experience in Bookkeeping or Finance

Required Job Skills and Knowledge:

  • Risk Control:
    Understanding and adherence to infection control measures.

  • Written Communication Skills:
    Ability to write memos, letters, emails, and minutes clearly and effectively.

  • Typing Skills:
    Must be able to type at a speed of at least 40 words per minute.

  • SAP Knowledge:
    Familiarity with the SAP system for purchase orders and equipment control.

  • Technical Terminology:
    Understanding of relevant technical terms.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act:
    Knowledge of relevant safety regulations.

  • Telephone Etiquette:
    Strong principles of telephone etiquette.


This position is ideal for candidates with strong administrative skills, an understanding of technical environments, and the ability to manage relationships effectively.
