Position Overview:

The Training Administrator will coordinate and manage administrative aspects of Training & Development for the Technical Training Centre, ensuring the effective organization and implementation of training activities to improve employee knowledge and skills. This role is integral to maintaining high standards aligned with world-class manufacturing practices.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    Matric/Grade 12 with Mathematics

  • Experience:
    At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
    Basic understanding of Training & Development (advantageous)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Coordination and Administration:

    • Maintain training records and monitor employee training progress
    • Support logistical needs for training courses and events, ensuring smooth delivery
    • Follow up on training participants to ensure completion of training requirements
  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Assist with compliance with HR, Training, and Labour Law legislation, including WSP-ATR and BBBEE requirements
    • Aid in preparing for BBBEE, DTI skills, and ISO audits
    • Compile and submit information for 12H Learnership tax rebate
  • Administrative Support:

    • Document control and management within the Matrix Learning Management System
    • Support the processing of Purchase Orders, budget management, and stores requisitioning
    • Assist with minute-taking, building maintenance, and other general administrative tasks
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Foster relationships with internal and external customers to gain buy-in and effectively manage training needs

Key Competencies and Skills:

  • Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with training legislation and CHIETA/SETA regulations
  • Core Competencies:

    • Attention to detail, reliability, adaptability, multi-tasking, high emotional intelligence
    • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Technical Competency:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and skilled in building trust and rapport, with a strong focus on ensuring training compliance and supporting employee development.
