Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 Qualification (Required)
- BSc Degree (Advantageous)
- Experience: 0-1 Year in a relevant role
- Skills:
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems
- Understanding of organisational policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities
Sample Management:
- Receive, capture, and distribute samples according to procedures
- Prioritise and channel specimens correctly
- Track sample delivery and ensure timely processing
- Investigate and resolve delays in pre-analytical processes
Administration & Customer Service:
- Register and log samples, handle queries, and distribute reports
- Conduct hospital rounds to collect and deliver reports/samples
- Manage reception, direct clients, and provide excellent service
- Handle administrative queries and customer complaints professionally
Stock & Housekeeping:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of materials
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the workspace
- Deliver stock to doctor’s rooms as needed
Finance & Compliance:
- Receive and bank cash from patients following SOPs
- Log incidents, complaints, and actions on the lab system
- Prepare and scan patient forms, resolving any scanning issues
- Adhere to Lancet uniform and professional dress protocols

- Strong administrative and attention to detail skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confidentiality, empathy, patience, and flexibility
- Professional telephone etiquette and business numeracy
Compensation: Based on qualification & experience
