Job Overview
Lancet Laboratories is looking for a Billing Administrator to provide support for system-related and escalated queries within the Billing Department.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification.
- 3-year qualification in Finance, Business Management, or Accounting (mandatory from 1 March 2023).
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience (advantageous).
- Knowledge of healthcare billing procedures, documentation, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide internal support for system-related queries.
- Draft and enforce internal work instructions.
- Communicate with management regarding irregularities.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Handle queries and escalations promptly.
- Identify system errors and coordinate fixes.
- Assist in investigations and special assignments.
- Oversee system upgrades related to billing.
- Manage work allocation for even distribution.
- Train staff on billing processes.
- Ensure correct billing through Meditech dictionaries.
- Manage paper and electronic claim processes.
