Job Summary

The role involves managing dispatch processes for Aggregate Quarries, including planning and scheduling fleet operations to meet customer production requirements. The position ensures compliance with quality, safety, and legal standards while maintaining accurate sales and logistics documentation.


Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12/Matric.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years in dispatch and transport management, preferably in Aggregate, CPM, or RMC businesses.
    • Relevant work experience within a dispatch environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Computer literate (SAP experience advantageous).
    • Knowledge of Health & Safety Standards.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills at all levels.
    • Motivational and interpersonal abilities.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Despatch and Sales Management:

  • Process sales transactions accurately and timeously.
  • Address quality and environmental non-conformances.
  • Manage compliance with Health, Safety, and legal standards.
  • Oversee sales dispatch documentation and handle related queries.

Fleet and Delivery Management:

  • Plan and schedule fleet to meet customer production requirements.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of materials in coordination with internal sales.
  • Monitor recovery plans and communicate with sales and customers.
  • Select and schedule trucks and transporters for dispatch.

Administrative Duties:

  • Administer delivery notes and update Proof of Delivery (POD).
  • Perform daily cash sales reconciliation.
  • Maintain the condition and accuracy of scales as per requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9002 system requirements.
