Purpose of the Position
The Finance Administrator will be responsible for project bookkeeping, financial reporting, and administration duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Certificate/Diploma in Bookkeeping or Financial Administration
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in a financial environment
- Working knowledge of Pastel Accounting and proficiency in Excel
- Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities
- Perform project bookkeeping, including cashbook processing and journal entries
- Prepare bank reconciliations and rectify incorrect entries
- Ensure accuracy of project revenue and expenses
- Process invoices for partners and capture petty cash transactions
- Assist the Project Accountant with creditor payments
- Prepare and process Employee Tax (PAYE) and UIF payments
- Communicate with creditors regarding account discrepancies
- Submit drawdowns for salaries and expenses
- Assist in managing cash flow
- Prepare and reconcile monthly expense claims for funders
- Support the preparation and execution of the annual audit
- Compile analyses of sub-contractors monthly
