Job Summary

Astral - Festive is looking for an experienced General Worker – Assistant Driver to assist with loading and offloading goods. The role also involves supporting drivers during deliveries and ensuring all related tasks are completed efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Own reliable transport to and from work
  • Clean criminal record
  • Medically fit for physical work
  • Experience in warehousing, manufacturing, transport, or logistics
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects repetitively
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
  • Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethics and willingness to follow instructions

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload company products safely and efficiently.
  • Assist drivers with locating delivery destinations when needed.
  • Report any delivery-related issues to management.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and reports.
  • Obtain client/customer signatures for proof of delivery.
  • Clean company trucks.
  • Assist in unloading vehicles at the end of each shift.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks.
