Job Description

Midas is looking for an RFC/GRV Clerk to join the team in Vanderbijlpark. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all documents are neatly filed, indexed, and processed while maintaining daily Gemba boards. The incumbent will also handle Return for Credit (RFC) stock and related administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities

Stock & Returns Management

  • Process all parts returned for credit immediately as per work instructions.
  • Ensure all returns are accompanied by appropriate documentation.
  • Follow strict evaluation procedures for returned parts.
  • Consult with the technical department on uncertainties regarding returned parts.
  • Liaise with customers regarding RFCs.
  • Ensure stock is returned without delay.
  • Assist with stock take procedures.
  • Allocate one hour daily for destroying unsalable or faulty imported goods.

Claims Processing

  • Process all parts returned for claim purposes immediately.
  • Communicate with the technical department for advice on returned parts.
  • Ensure proper filing of claim documentation for traceability.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the working area.
  • Report discrepancies to the supervisor.

General Administration

  • Maintain the entire filing system in the GRV unit.
  • Ensure documents are filed, indexed, and forwarded to relevant departments.
  • Contact suppliers to obtain invoices when required.
  • Obtain order notes from various departments.
  • Match order notes to received goods.
  • Receive goods and generate manual GRVs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • MS Office proficiency (essential).

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Honest and shows integrity.
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, Excel).
  • Good telephone skills and phone etiquette.\
