Purpose of the Job

To participate in and complete the Learnership Programme in the designated field, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience.

Programme Overview

This 12-month Learnership includes:

  • A theoretical component aligned with an NQF Learnership programme
  • Practical on-site work experience to improve skills and workplace readiness
  • Foundational training in:
    • Literacy & numeracy
    • Communication & computer skills
    • Basic business principles

During the practical component, learners will provide administrative support to enhance managerial and departmental effectiveness.

  • Computer Skills

Additional Exposure

Learners will assist in:

  • Reviewing environmental project life cycle reports
  • Reviewing environmental legislation and contractor compliance
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and report compilation
  • Coordinating environmental meetings
  • Supporting Environmental Officers in their daily tasks
  • Attending project-related meetings and providing progress updates

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • 0-1 year work experience
  • Advantageous Qualifications:
    • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
      • Environmental Management
      • Geography & Environmental Management
      • Environmental Science
