Job Description
Overview and Purpose of the Role
Our face-to-face distribution channel has expanded significantly, leading to the creation of the OUTsurance Broker (Face to Face) position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and developing the business insurance portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Sales:
- Prospect for new clients through networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing.
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations for clients.
- Offer tailored OUTsurance short-term insurance solutions.
- Draft, track, and manage a personal business plan.
Client Service & Management:
- Provide ongoing service and support to clients (amendments, renewals, claims, etc.).
- Ensure client retention through proactive renewal discussions.
- Build strong internal and external client relationships.
Performance & Compliance:
- Stay updated with changes in the commercial insurance market.
- Consistently achieve/exceed sales targets.
- Provide regular feedback to management.
- Work closely with internal departments (underwriting, claims, surveying).
- Adhere to quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Matric / National Senior Certificate
- FAIS credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (as per DOFA)
- RE5 certification (as per DOFA)
- Own reliable transport & valid Code B driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years’ external sales experience
