Job Overview
The Reconciling Clerk is responsible for accurate reconciliation of driver accounts, proper route stock control, and ensuring timely resolution of administrative tasks. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Driver Reconciliation:
- Achieve 100% accuracy in reconciling driver accounts.
- Validate and mark off all Proof of Delivery (POD) documents in the system.
- Allocate received cash to the appropriate drivers.
Customer Claims:
- Process all customer claims accurately and within deadlines.
Route Stock Control:
- Ensure proper control and management of stock on delivery routes.
Administrative Duties:
- Participate in invocoms and generate required reports.
- File and organize documents systematically.
- Address admin queries promptly and meet set deadlines.
Communication:
- Ensure clear and effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
Skills and Attributes Required
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong assertiveness and ability to work independently.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Sense of urgency and initiative.
Qualifications
- Education: Matric (Grade 12).
Experience Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- FMCG experience is advantageous.
Key Outputs
- Ability to handle a pressurized environment.
- Must be available to work 6 days a week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
