About the Role

Hey Dude, a leading-edge international retail brand, is seeking a Sales Assistant for their Menlyn store. The role involves providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and ensuring daily store operations run smoothly.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet every customer within 30 seconds.
  • Provide exceptional customer service tailored to individual needs.
  • Use technical knowledge to showcase product benefits and close sales.
  • Monitor personal daily sales against targets regularly.

Inventory Management

  • Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories daily.
  • Minimize shrinkage by zoning the store and adhering to changing room policies.
  • Accurately update stock entries in the POS system.
  • Process deliveries, including checking quantities, tagging, pricing, and recording stock.
  • Handle customer orders efficiently.

Daily Operations

  • Maintain store cleanliness, including dusting, vacuuming, and tidying change rooms.
  • Assist the manager with opening and closing the store.

Training & Development

  • Take responsibility for personal training and learning from assigned buddies.
  • Attend quarterly training sessions and complete assessments.
  • Engage in monthly feedback and progress meetings with the store manager.
  • Complete the Hey Dude rookie pack for promotion eligibility.

Merchandising

  • Maintain stock presentation in line with store standards.
  • Replenish sizes and assist with fortnightly window or mannequin changes.
  • Store POS materials to prevent damage.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of Crocs products is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
