Job Context

Servest, a leader in the Integrated Facilities Management Industry, is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Consultant to join the Landscaping Business Unit at their Head Office in Waterfall. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role is pivotal in driving growth through innovative solutions and excellent client relations.


Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 (a relevant qualification is advantageous).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of proven sales experience in the service industry, with a successful track record.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to interpret customer needs effectively.
    • Good understanding of local market conditions and natural turf.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
    • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Valid, unendorsed driver's license and own transport.
    • Self-starter and team player.
    • Willingness to make occasional personal sacrifices to meet deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain and update CRM to ensure accurate forecasts and achieve sales targets.
  • Acquisition Planning: Formulate acquisition strategies for target accounts to meet profit and sales objectives.
  • Market Insights: Analyze target markets, competitor activity, and customer trends to enhance Servest's value propositions.
  • Proposal Preparation: Develop proposals based on customer needs and the best available solutions.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract discussions within SLA and legislative frameworks, ensuring contracts are finalized before service implementation.
  • Documentation: Complete and sign off all necessary documents and load activities in CRM to manage risks effectively.
  • Customer Handover: Transition new business accounts to designated departments, ensuring high customer service levels during implementation.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify and drive cross-sell opportunities to maximize revenue from new customers.
  • Tender Support: Assist National Business Development Executives (NBDEs) with tenders and national accounts to improve conversion rates.
