About the Role
Anglo American is seeking a Trainer to deliver effective training programs within the operation. This role focuses on facilitating learning experiences that improve employee skills, knowledge, and performance, ultimately contributing to the safety and success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions across various departments.
- Use adult learning principles to create training programs that cater to different learning styles.
- Adapt training content to meet participants' skill levels for better understanding.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in safety procedures, equipment operation, technical skills, or compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to improve training materials.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation.
- Use diverse instructional techniques like case studies, group discussions, and hands-on exercises.
- Administer assessments, quizzes, and evaluations to measure learning progress.
- Capture training records on the Learning Management System (SF-LMS).
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to participants.
- Manage training logistics, including scheduling, equipment setup, and registration.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, completion, and assessment results.
- Gather feedback from participants and supervisors to enhance training programs.
- Work closely with learning supervisors and subject matter experts to refine training materials.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- OD-ETDP NQF4 (Occupationally Directed Education, Training & Development Practices Level 4)
- Registered Assessor Certificate
- Technical discipline-specific qualifications and authorisation
- Valid South African Driver’s License
Experience & Skills Required
- 1–3 years relevant experience in training or equivalent environment.
- Knowledge of training principles, instructional design, and adult learning theories.
- Understanding of safety regulations, equipment operation, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and provide meaningful feedback.
