Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Storing:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments.
- Maintain accuracy in goods handling and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Label and organize items in designated locations.
Order Picking and Packing:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Securely package goods to prevent damage during transit.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Report stock shortages or excesses.
Loading and Dispatching:
- Assist in loading shipments onto transport vehicles.
- Ensure timely preparation and processing of outgoing orders.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Report hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
General Warehouse Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve performance goals.
Who We Are Looking For
- Education: Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–2 years in a warehouse or logistics role preferred.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with WMS and inventory procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina for manual labour and heavy lifting.
- Additional: Forklift operation certification is an advantage.
