Purpose of the Role

The Warehouse Operator (Bulk) is responsible for efficiently handling inbound stock, ensuring proper storage, stock rotation, and replenishment of pick lines. The role plays a key part in inventory management and maintaining warehouse safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offload Inbound Stock: Unload incoming products from delivery vehicles.
  • Stock Age Tracking: Record and report the age of received products for proper inventory management.
  • Quality Inspection: Check products for correct quality and packaging.
  • Labeling: Generate and apply product labels to inbound pallets.
  • Stock Storage: Store and organize products in designated warehouse areas.
  • Replenishment: Ensure pick lines are stocked to support continuous order fulfillment.
  • Stock Rotation: Implement stock rotation practices to prevent product expiration.
  • Equipment Inspection: Regularly check and report any equipment malfunctions.
  • Issue Reporting: Notify controllers about damaged goods, incorrect labeling, or packaging concerns.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Team Contribution: Support warehouse efficiency and team objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in FMCG Retail).
  • Valid Electric Pallet Jack License.
  • Forklift License.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, aligned with the HO HOLA culture.

  • Ability to work in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
