Position Overview
An opportunity has become available for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on managing vendor accounts, including reconciliations, payments, and queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Preparation – Preparing documents for data capture.
- Expense Allocation – Allocating expenses to general ledger/cost centre codes for accurate financial reporting.
- Reconciliation – Managing accounts payable reconciliations.
- Payment Processing – Submitting supplier payments on SAP and FNB.
- Invoice Management – Capturing supplier invoices on SAP, reconciling accounts, and posting for payment.
- Creditors Management – Collating creditors' documents and preparing payments.
- Query Resolution – Responding to, analyzing, and resolving supplier and stakeholder queries.
- Reporting – Performing creditors aging and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Expense Claims – Assisting with processing expense claims.
- Team Support – Supporting the Finance department as needed.
- Ad Hoc Duties – Performing other tasks as required by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) – Accounting as a subject is preferred.
- Tertiary qualification or certificate in Finance/Accounting (Bookkeeping).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in creditors, accounting, and reconciliations.
- Experience in processing large volumes of payments is preferred.
- Computer literacy – Proficiency in MS Office (SAP experience is advantageous).
