Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified candidate to join our team as an Admin Clerk / Receptionist. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, capturing, and distributing samples while providing excellent customer service at the reception area.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and distribute samples according to procedures.
- Log and process sample registrations and handle queries.
- Dispatch specimens for processing and monitor reports.
- Conduct hospital rounds to collect samples and deliver reports.
- Handle administrative queries and customer complaints.
- Track courier sample deliveries to ensure timely processing.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in pre-analytical processes.
- Maintain clean and organised work areas.
- Monitor and order stock for continuous availability.
- Manage reception, direct clients, and provide accurate information.
- Handle cash payments and ensure proper banking procedures.
- Report incidents and customer complaints on the system.
- Scan patient forms and resolve any scanning issues.
- Adhere to company uniform and dress code policies.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification.
- BSc Degree (Advantageous).
- 0 – 1 year of relevant experience.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of laboratory information systems.
