Job Overview
The School of Pharmacy at the University of the Western Cape is seeking a Departmental Administrator to assist with all administrative processes, ensuring compliance with UWC’s and statutory administrative systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Administration
- Handle budget administration, procurement, and financial reporting.
2. Academic & Student Administration
- Support student marks administration and other student-related processes.
3. Committee & General Administration
- Assist with committee meetings and event/venue coordination.
- Manage office administration, document control, and liaise with staff, students, and service providers.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 + a relevant three-year post-matric qualification.
- At least 2 years of administrative experience in a Higher Education environment.
- Experience in university procurement and financial management systems.
- Experience in student administration and marks management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications.
Key Competencies
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent office management & record-keeping skills.
Added Advantage
- Experience with UWC’s procurement, financial, and student administration systems.
