Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of toilets, equipment, offices, state property, and assets.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Clean the reception area and offices daily.
- Empty office dustbins daily and dispose of refuse appropriately in designated bins.
- Collect paper waste in specially marked bins for recycling.
- Check and clean bathrooms twice daily.
- Dust office furniture as needed.
- Vacuum carpets at least twice per week.
- Clean interior windows quarterly on a rotational basis.
- Store cleaning equipment and products neatly in designated cupboards on each floor.
- Assist with preparing the boardroom for meetings.
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements, company policies, quality programs, and legislation.
- Maintain high morale and motivation through effective communication.
- Assist with additional duties outside the typical scope of responsibility as required.
Skills & Competencies
- Good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of general hygiene practices.
- Familiarity with facility layouts.
- Understanding of cleaning products and their applications.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment and products.
- Basic literacy and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
- Preference given to candidates from the local area (Centurion, Pretoria CBD, or Tembisa).
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 11 with proven cleaning experience.
- Grade 12 Certificate will be advantageous.
