General Worker – Alert Engine Parts
Location: Bloemfontein, Free State

Job Purpose
Alert Engine Parts is seeking a General Worker to join their warehouse department in Bloemfontein. The role involves performing general warehouse duties such as stock taking, binning, picking, packing, checking, moving stock, and maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Binning:
- Bin incoming merchandise and replenish inventory from bulk to pick locations.
- Allocate new products with bin location numbers in the correct warehouse area.
- Report and update bin locations to the superior.
Picking:
- Pick customer and branch orders timely, meeting order cut-off times.
- Use bulk locations only when stock is depleted and avoid replenishing during picking.
- Assist in stock take procedures.
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained daily.
Scanner Control:
- Issue scanners to operators and book them in/out via the electronic app.
- Inspect scanners for damage and report to the supervisor.
- Complete the daily scanner issue spreadsheet.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (Literacy and Numeracy equivalent)
- Experience:
- At least 3 years in a warehouse and/or logistics environment (desirable).
- Knowledge of spares/motor/engine parts, warehouse systems, and procedures.

- Efficient, accurate, and focused with attention to detail.

- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
