Job Description

Join the AECI Chemicals team in Durban as a General Worker, where you’ll play a key role in supporting the production and distribution of bituminous products. This permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment while maintaining high operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Offload raw material tankers into storage tanks (additives).
• Conduct stock takes of raw materials and finished products (dips).
• Assist in the manufacturing process of bituminous products.
• Transfer bituminous products to finished product tanks and mix for the specified duration.
• Collect representative samples from the manufacturing process and deliver them to the laboratory.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the plant and loading bay.
• Inspect vehicle tanks according to the flushing matrix to prevent product contamination.
• Load hauler and distributor trucks with the correct product and quantity as per loading instructions.
• Take representative samples for client delivery and record-keeping purposes.
• Fill drums to the correct mass specifications.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Valid forklift license.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
