Purpose of the Job
Transpharm is looking for a Sales Account Representative to manage key customer relationships and drive business growth. This role is 80% office-based and 20% fieldwork, focusing on customer retention and acquisition within a specific geographical area. The remuneration includes a basic salary plus monthly commission linked to performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Build trust and loyalty through personalized interactions.

Sales and Service

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Communicate product benefits and value propositions effectively.

Market Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Analyze customer data to understand purchasing behavior.
  • Monitor sales trends to ensure continuous business growth.

Business Development

  • Implement targeted sales strategies to increase customer acquisition and retention.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Attend industry events to network and expand the customer base.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Essential: Matric (NQF Level 4).
  • Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in marketing or industry-related courses.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Experience

  • Essential: Previous sales representative experience.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of wholesale and pharmacy operations.
  • Experience working with Excel/Sheets for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to challenges in a competitive industry.
