Purpose of the Job
Transpharm is looking for a Sales Account Representative to manage key customer relationships and drive business growth. This role is 80% office-based and 20% fieldwork, focusing on customer retention and acquisition within a specific geographical area. The remuneration includes a basic salary plus monthly commission linked to performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently.
- Build trust and loyalty through personalized interactions.
Sales and Service
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Communicate product benefits and value propositions effectively.
Market Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Analyze customer data to understand purchasing behavior.
- Monitor sales trends to ensure continuous business growth.
Business Development
- Implement targeted sales strategies to increase customer acquisition and retention.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Attend industry events to network and expand the customer base.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Essential: Matric (NQF Level 4).
- Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in marketing or industry-related courses.
- Valid driver’s license.
Experience
- Essential: Previous sales representative experience.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of wholesale and pharmacy operations.
- Experience working with Excel/Sheets for data analysis.
- Knowledge of customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to challenges in a competitive industry.
