Main Purpose of the Role

The Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering a positive customer experience by understanding customer needs and offering value-adding financial solutions. The role requires adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and sales targets.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Attach qualification copies when applying)
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar sales role, selling life cover
  • 2 – 3 years of outbound cold calling experience in a call center
  • Experience selling Life Insurance products
  • FSCA-recognized FAIS NQF 5 qualification
  • RE5 Certification
  • Class of Business: Long-Term Insurance & Short-Term Insurance (Personal Lines)
  • Clear credit record

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and escalate risks where necessary
  • Ensure high-quality work and operational efficiency
  • Meet sales targets and maintain an acceptable cost of sales ratio
  • Grow the customer base while managing costs
  • Maximize sales through financial solutions and cross-selling opportunities
  • Promote digital and self-service options to clients
  • Maintain specialized knowledge of company products and sales processes
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with company standards
