Job Description
Job Purpose:
To deliver service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operational activities, and merchandising in-store, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely manner.
- Maintain high accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for goods.
- Handle cash safely and efficiently at all times.
- Promote the Clicks clubcard and enroll new members to achieve participation targets.
- Inform customers about promotions to positively affect sales.
- Deliver superior customer service, acting as a brand ambassador, being visible, and offering a friendly service.
- Perform merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store standards.
- Focus on personal development and product knowledge, and share information with relief staff.
- Support the company’s vision by living and driving the company values.
- Stay updated on products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide correct information to customers.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential: Grade 12
- Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
- Desirable: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification
- Desirable: Experience in a customer-facing role within retail/FMCG
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic math calculations
