Job Overview

The Stock Controller will oversee operations related to Data & Advanced Services (DAS), CNFO, and OSP Build. Responsibilities include receiving, binning, picking, dispatching, and disposing of materials and equipment, ensuring efficient stock control processes.


Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving Materials

  • Offload, check, and sort materials.
  • Verify documentation and capture information in the system.

2. Dispatching Materials

  • Receive and verify dispatch documentation.
  • Pack, confirm, and load materials for transport.

3. Disposing Materials

  • Prepare documentation for disposal.
  • Determine disposal method and execute accordingly.

4. Handling Enquiries

  • Document and resolve stock-related enquiries.
  • Provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.

5. Binning Materials

  • Organize and store received stock.
  • Confirm bin location in the system.

6. Picking Materials

  • Process material requests and prepare items for dispatch.
  • Cut materials if needed and hand them over to dispatch.

7. Stock Counting

  • Conduct stock counts and capture results.
  • Perform recounts when requested.

8. Maintaining Work Area & Equipment

  • Maintain records and adhere to health and safety (SHE) requirements.
  • Inspect equipment and work area.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Grade 10 (NQF 3) with relevant modular training.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of health & safety, stock control procedures, and warehousing.
  • Interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy (stock systems, data capturing).
  • Ability to handle mechanical aids (forklifts, warehouse tools, etc.).

Additional Requirements

  • Forklift license (advantageous).
  • Medically fit for labour-intensive work.
  • Ability to work overtime and be on standby when required.
