Takealot, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is looking for a Sales & Account Team Lead to join their team in Cape Town. If you're a dynamic, results-driven leader with a passion for e-commerce, this is your opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, innovative company.

This position reports to the Marketplace Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive performance within the sales team to meet acquisition targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic acquisition roadmaps for each category.
  • Manage the sales process to ensure accurate data and efficiency.
  • Build sales dashboards to track key productivity metrics.
  • Support under-performing sellers and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop growth plans for strategic sellers.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Sales & Account Managers team.
  • Set monthly goals aligned with business targets.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new Sales & Account Managers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales environment.
  • At least 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience managing a sales team.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • E-commerce experience is advantageous.
