Key Purpose

The Telesales Consultant will make outbound calls to prospective clients, offering Discovery Insure’s motor, household, and home insurance products.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
  • FAIS Credits – Full qualification in Short-Term Insurance (Essential)
  • RE5 Qualification (Essential/Advantageous)
  • Class of Business Certificate (Essential/Advantageous)
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certificate (Essential/Advantageous)
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the short-term insurance industry (Outbound Telesales) – Essential
  • Degree (Advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly sales targets
  • Conduct financial needs analysis and provide sound financial advice
  • Perform accurate and timely administration on relevant systems
  • Communicate via phone and email with clients regarding queries
  • Adhere to service level agreements for consistent sales performance
  • Engage with stakeholders effectively
  • Comply with risk and regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively within a team and align with Discovery’s values
