Job Purpose

Perform manual unskilled labour tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving equipment/operations in a workshop environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12
• Experience:
  • 1–2 years of experience in a technical field
  • Experience in cleaning workshops and test apparatus

Skills & Competencies

• Skills:

  • Time management
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
  • Conflict resolution
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Knowledge:

  • Cleaners' work procedures for workshops
  • Basic safety rules and regulations

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare for electrical tests on transformers as per requirements.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety.
• Clean high-voltage test apparatus, test instruments, and test areas.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Participate in workshop toolbox talks.
• Follow SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) procedures.
