Job Description

Join the AECI Mining team in Modderfontein as a Warehouse Operator & Driver. In this role, you will support the efficient management of engineering spares by receiving, storing, picking, issuing, and delivering items to various sites, including local, cross-border, and front-end units. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital operation while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and ensure the correct number of parts are received.
• Offload products from vehicles and organize them into the stores.
• Pick and assemble parts based on pick lists or reservations.
• Operate a forklift as needed to move materials.
• Transport products between sites and magazines.
• Collect and deliver spares to designated locations.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and consumables are available and functional, reporting defective items to the Team Leader.
• Provide support to the warehouse team to maintain smooth operations.
• Adhere to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards at all times.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in and around the stores.
• Follow established governance, policies, systems, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence (required).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in storekeeping and material handling, gained through formal studies or practical experience in a stores environment.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
