Job Purpose
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of Admin Clerk / Receptionist. This role focuses on handling samples, administrative tasks, and reception duties to support efficient laboratory operations.
Minimum Requirements

Education: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification (BSc Degree advantageous).

Experience: 0-1 year of relevant working experience.

Key Responsibilities
-
Sample Management:
-
Sort, log, and distribute samples according to standard operating procedures.
-
Ensure correct and prioritized delivery of specimens to the relevant laboratories/sites.

Monitor courier progress to track sample delivery and report turnaround times.

Administrative Duties:
-
Handle patient queries, complaints, and report deliveries professionally.
-
Manage hospital rounds to collect samples and distribute reports.
-
Prepare and scan patient forms (Oculus system) and resolve incomplete scans.
-
Maintain stock levels and ensure timely delivery to doctors' rooms.

Reception Management:
-
Manage the reception area, direct clients, and provide excellent customer service.
-
Receive cash payments and ensure banking follows company procedures.

Log incidents, customer complaints, and tasks on the laboratory information management system.

Housekeeping:

Ensure a clean, organized workspace and prepare equipment according to protocols.
