Job Overview:

Midas is looking for a dedicated and motivated Admin Clerk to handle daily administrative tasks at the Rustenburg branch. The role includes assisting with cashier and COD duties when necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties:

  • Perform general admin functions.
  • Relieve the cashier or COD clerk when required.
  • Handle switchboard/telephone duties.
  • File documents when necessary.

Cash & Payment Management:

  • Match Cash on Delivery (COD) invoices daily.
  • Take customer deposits and ensure they are banked on time.
  • Manage cash payments for debtors’ accounts and ensure timely banking.
  • Write and submit Daily Summary Sheets to Head Office.
  • Assist with Sundry Creditor payments and cash book maintenance.
  • Handle petty cash and ensure all transactions are recorded.
  • Process credits and perform month-end accruals accurately.

Reporting & Follow-Ups:

  • Print and review daily COD reports — follow up on discrepancies.
  • Do daily COD transfers from the bank statement.

Minimum Requirements:

🎓 Education:

  • Matric with Accounting & Mathematics

💼 Experience:

  • Advanced admin skills
  • Debtors/Cash book experience (advantageous)

  • Strong numerical skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
  • Organized, accurate, and professional
  • Quick learner who speaks up when needed
  • Team player but able to work independently
  • Trustworthy and honest — comfortable handling large cash amounts daily
  • Works well under pressure
  • Clear ITC & Criminal record
