Job Purpose
The Administration Officer will handle administrative and clerical support to ensure the department runs smoothly. This role is the key contact point for both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
General Administrative Functions
- Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate events.
- Prepare reports and package documents for meetings.
- Circulate and track documents for the department.
- Maintain filing systems for quick and accurate information retrieval.
- Record minutes of meetings and ensure updates are circulated.
- Coordinate budgets and monitor departmental expenditure.
- Arrange domestic and international travel — approvals, allowances, and logistics.
Office and Stakeholder Management
- Manage office consumables and work with Procurement for supplies.
- Handle asset requests, delivery, and management.
- Track projects and prepare progress reports.
- Ensure communication with SACAA staff and external clients.
- Manage inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with a Certificate in Office Administration or relevant qualification
- 1-3 years' experience in an administrative role
Ideal Qualifications (Advantageous)
- Diploma in Office Administration or Office Management
