Job Purpose

Support the Store Manager in ensuring efficient store operations, driving sales, and delivering service excellence — all to achieve sales, profit, and compliance targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and profitability through promotions, cross-selling, and exceptional service.

  • Oversee store operations: expenses, stock, shrinkage, housekeeping, and admin.

  • Ensure visual merchandising meets brand standards.

  • Motivate and direct staff to achieve performance goals.

  • Manage staff schedules in line with company labour policies.

  • Ensure excellent customer service and grow Clicks ClubCard participation.

  • Handle administrative tasks like time & attendance records and HR submissions.

  • Uphold company values to make Clicks the customer’s first choice.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Grade 12 (with 50% in Maths and English).

  • Retail/Business Management qualification (External applicants).

  • Degree in Retail/Business Management is advantageous.

Experience:

  • 1+ year experience as an Assistant Store Manager in a Retail/FMCG environment.

  • OR Completed Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.

  • Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss, etc.).
